Hello! Remember me?? Long time no post.
I apologize.
I'll skip the usual excuses. Instead I just want to gush about my new Kindle. I love it. I know I've said before I wasn't going to get a Kindle or other e-reader any time soon. However, the price drop and release of the K3 just happened to coincide around my birthday. For once my husband had no trouble picking out a gift for me!
Lately I've been in an ebook reading frenzy. Or, I guess I should say an ebook SAMPLE reading frenzy.
The problem with my new Kindle is that I've become fickle. Rather than committing outright to buying a particular book, I find myself downloading a free ebook sample, reading it and then neglecting to follow through with the purchase. Currently I have around 20 or samples racked up. Shame on me.
But, I finally settled on purchasing Cutting for Stone.
Anyone else read it? I love it so far (I'm about 70% through the book--pet peeve of mine, Amazon doesn't have page numbers). I did find the first half of the story encumbered with too much backstory and the book was a little heavy on medical jargon, but the main character, an identical twin boy whose father abandons him and his twin brother after their birth, resonated with me. Being an identical twin myself, the author scored major bonus points with me because he didn't default to the usual good/evil twin dichotomy that so many other writers do.
Anyone else care to weigh in on this novel or any other good books you've read lately? Or any thoughts on your Kindle reading habits (if you have one)?

I love my Kindle. I got it for Christmas last year. I especially love reading long, heavy books with my Kindle. They are so light that way, and I never have a hard time holding them or losing my place.
